Jill Martin, the designer and TODAY Show contributor, has launched a limited NBA Finals collection that reimagines fan gear through a fashion lens. The capsule, available through jillmartin.com, covers all the NBA Finals teams with a focus on elevated construction and editorial styling.
The collection centers on Martin’s signature sherpa loungers and hoodies, now rendered in team colors with embroidered logos. Each piece is constructed from a heavyweight fleece that holds its shape — a deliberate departure from the thin, logo-slapped merchandise that dominates the stadium-concourse market.
Martin has built a parallel career at the intersection of sport and fashion. Her “By Jill Martin” label has produced collaborations with the NBA, NHL, and MLB, consistently arguing that fan gear need not sacrifice design for fandom. The NBA Finals collection is her most visible statement yet on that thesis.
The collection launched in early June to coincide with the NBA Finals. Though the initial run focused on the competing teams, Martin has indicated that expansion into all 30 NBA markets is in development for the fall.
A faux-fur jacket in the Knicks’ blue-and-orange palette has emerged as the hero item. The silhouette follows Martin’s established template — oversized collar, dropped shoulder, snap closure — but the NBA branding is integrated as a tonal appliqué rather than a screen-printed patch, lending it a sophistication that reads equally well courtside and on the sidewalk.
