Minoronzoni 1953 is stepping beyond its accessories heritage. The Italian house, known for its crafted leather goods and travel-inspired collections, has launched its first dedicated womenswear line, adding handbags, outerwear, belts, and a pair of trousers to its offering. It is the first category expansion in the brand’s 73-year history.
The category expansion positions Minoronzoni to compete with a broader set of luxury accessories houses that have successfully transitioned into ready-to-wear. The brand is not rushing: the womenswear line will be available in a limited network of stockists this season, with a wider rollout planned for 2027.
Revenues are rising in both the US and Spain, the brand’s two largest markets, providing the financial foundation for the expansion. Minoronzoni’s American business has grown steadily as the brand opens retail partnerships with department stores and independents alike.
The move reflects a strategic pivot toward a more complete lifestyle proposition. Minoronzoni has long enjoyed a loyal following for its belts and small leather goods, but the brand’s leadership recognized that competing in modern luxury requires a fuller wardrobe narrative. The womenswear collection was developed in-house over 18 months, drawing on the same artisanal techniques that define the accessories.
The collection itself is restrained in silhouette but rich in material. Structured calfskin totes sit alongside supple nappa jackets, while the belt offering, still the brand’s core competency, expands into wider, sculptural forms. There are no logos in sight, in keeping with the house’s understated codes.
