UNIQLO Launches Its First Standalone Hijab Collection

UNIQLO is expanding its LifeWear offering with a new collection designed to celebrate functionality, comfort and accessibility: a standalone hijab line launching exclusively in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines.

The launch follows the brand’s earlier LifeWear collaborations with Muslim British-Japanese designer Hana Tajima, deepening a modest-fashion exploration that began over a decade ago.

The collection drops August 17, a date that positions modest essentials at the center of UNIQLO’s inclusive-wardrobe argument rather than its periphery.

The Georgette Hijab brings a soft texture and fluid drape in a triangular, one-size design across 12 shades, from olive and navy to pale blue and deep wine, while the Satin Hijab offers a polished finish in six rich hues.

The AIRism option leans on the brand’s signature moisture-wicking, quick-drying fabric, a pragmatic answer to warm, humid climates.

The range comprises three styles, each engineered for a different moment: the AIRism UV Protection Hijab, the Satin Hijab, and the Georgette Hijab.
