EVANGELION:95 Turns Anime History Into Faux-Vintage Tees

The anime nostalgia cycle has found its most precise expression yet: EVANGELION:95, a label dedicated to recreating 1995 Evangelion merchandise, has released its first FW26 drop.

The drop’s scarcity model, limited runs and no restocks, mirrors the rarefied economics of the vintage tees it emulates, which now trade at premium prices on resale platforms.

The label taps a generational shift in how fashion consumes anime: not as novelty prints but as archival material with its own design history.

The faux-vintage treatment is the point. Each tee is washed, distressed and printed with period-accurate graphics that mimic the original merchandise’s cheap, saturated screen-printing.

EVANGELION:95 understands that in 2026, the most valuable new clothing is the kind that looks like it has already lived.

Five iconic moments from the series, including the Mass Production Evas and Yoko Takahashi’s ‘Soul’s Refrain’ single, are printed on heavyweight cotton tees pre-faded to look decades old.
