Issey Miyake and Camper Shape a Second-Skin Slipper

Issey Miyake and Camper have placed a single shoe at the center of their first collaboration, a sock-like design built for second-skin comfort. The pair launched the style on both brand websites on July 15.

For Camper, the project extends a history of collaborations that treat the shoe as an object of design; for Issey Miyake, it continues the house’s obsession with pleats, folds and the body’s movement.

The collaboration threads two design cultures into a single object, the easy minimalism of Mallorca meeting the engineered discipline of Tokyo.

It arrives in four quiet shades: cream, navy, cobalt and black, colors that let the construction speak for itself.
