Dario Vitale Takes Creative Direction of Emporio Armani and Armani Accessories

The Armani Group has named Dario Vitale creative director of Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani Accessories, its first external design appointment since the founder’s passing last September.

For Emporio Armani, the label launched in 1981 as the group’s youthful metropolitan line, Vitale brings a proven record of turning personality into sales, the same discipline that carried Miu Miu through rapid growth.

Vitale arrives after fourteen years at Miu Miu, where he rose to design director of ready-to-wear and head of image under Miuccia Prada before a brief tenure steering Versace.

Vitale’s debut runway is set for Fall/Winter 2027, the first collection to bear the mark of a creative voice chosen from beyond the Armani family.
