François-Henri Bennahmias to Launch New Luxury Swiss Watch Brand N3W5

François-Henri Bennahmias, the former chief executive of Audemars Piguet, has announced the launch of N3W5, a new luxury Swiss watch brand backed by thirty million Swiss francs in investment. The venture, which has been in development for over two years, enters a market segment that Bennahmias knows intimately: high-end mechanical timepieces with price points starting at twenty thousand Swiss francs.

N3W5 will differentiate itself through an emphasis on decorative craftsmanship, particularly enamel work. The brand has secured an exclusive collaboration with Anita Porchet, widely regarded as the world’s foremost independent enamelist, whose miniature paintings on dials have become one of the most coveted signatures in contemporary watchmaking.

N3W5 plans to sell exclusively through a single flagship boutique in Geneva and a bespoke appointment system for international clients, deliberately limiting distribution to maintain exclusivity. The brand has already received fifty pre-orders, representing roughly one quarter of its first-year production capacity.

Bennahmias described the brand’s positioning as ‘accessible rarity’ — priced below the top tier of independent watchmakers like F.P. Journe or Philippe Dufour but above the entry-level offerings of the major groups. The strategy targets collectors who have aged out of entry-level luxury and are seeking pieces with genuine artisanal distinction.
