Devon Lee Carlson has added fashion designer to her résumé, teaming up with Francesca Aiello for Sunshine Girls, a capsule with Frankies Bikinis that filters vintage glam through a distinctly California lens.
The capsule launches August 4 on the Frankies Bikinis website, timed for the last stretch of summer when the question is not what to wear, but how much joy a single outfit can hold.
The anchor pieces are Frankies’ first-ever low-rise jeans, cut to sit below the hip with a soft ease, alongside terry cloth sweatsuits and sequined mini dresses that catch the light at a backyard party.
The collection is rooted in the pair’s shared obsession with archival fashion, mixing silhouettes from the fifties and seventies with Y2K staples.
