Giorgio Armani and Kith Take Their Collaboration to the Agafay Desert

Giorgio Armani and Kith presented Dreams of the Dune, the third chapter of their menswear collaboration, at sunset in the Agafay Desert outside Marrakech. The show traded a runway hall for stone and dust, which reframed the collection before a single look was registered.

Three chapters in, the Armani and Kith pairing has settled into something more durable than a stunt. The remaining question is whether the tailoring travels as convincingly off the sand as it does on it.

The choice of venue does real work. Marrakech has become a staging ground for houses courting Gulf and North African clientele, and a desert presentation signals reach beyond the traditional four fashion capitals.

The third chapter launches on October 16 alongside capsule tie-ins with ASICS, Diemme, and ’47, extending the collaboration from tailoring into footwear and headwear. That spread is how a designer partnership reaches customers at more than one price point.

The line works the seam between Armani’s fluid tailoring and Kith’s streetwear instinct. Suiting is cut loose through the body with softened shoulders, while outerwear and knitwear carry the relaxed proportions the American label has built its following on.

Desert light is unforgiving to cloth, and the collection leaned into it with pale sand, bone, and undyed neutrals that held their shape against the rock. The volumes moved rather than clung, which is precisely the effect Armani’s best tailoring is engineered to produce.
