Marine Serre Photographs Femininity as Architecture

Marine Serre has released the campaign for The Grace of Time, the house’s Fall Winter 2026 collection, and the images treat the body as something to build around rather than decorate.

The collection appeared earlier in the year with a stated interest in femininity, and the campaign makes the argument visual: shoulders squared, waists defined by structure rather than cinching, hems weighted to hold a line.

Serre’s vocabulary has always mixed the technical with the talismanic. Crescent motifs, upcycled textiles and near-future protective shapes have been her signatures since the label’s first seasons.

The campaign’s staging follows the same logic, setting garments against the natural world and letting cloth and landscape share a palette.

The proportion principle at play is contrast. Volume at the shoulder asks for a narrow line below, and a weighted hem needs a shoe with enough presence to answer it.

An alternate approach is to take one structural piece into an otherwise plain wardrobe. A single sculpted element reads as intent; three of them read as costume.

Femininity no longer has to choose between softness and engineering. Serre’s answer is to build one out of the other.
