Off-White has made its first move into fine jewellery, presenting a collection built around diamonds. For a house that spent a decade treating metal as a graphic device, the shift is from ornament as logo to ornament as material.
Proportion decides the rest. If the chain is heavy, the neckline should be high and clean and the wrist should stay bare, because two competing weights on the same body simply cancel each other out.
For a cooler context the same pieces shift under a knitted polo and a tailored coat, where the chain reads as a private detail rather than a statement. Fine jewellery, after all, is the only category that improves as it stops being noticed.
Worn against the brand’s own register, this is jewellery that asks for contrast. A plain white tee and a wide-leg trouser keep the metal looking considered; a leather jacket pushes it toward the early-2000s inflection the house already owns.
