Alexandre Mattiussi has completed a circle. His brand Ami Paris has opened its third boutique in the French capital, located on Place des Victoires, just steps from 30 Rue de la Ferronnerie — the building where Mattiussi started his career at Dior Homme fifteen years ago, and which now houses Ami’s headquarters.
Mattiussi described the opening as an emotional milestone. For a designer who worked through the ranks of Dior Homme and Givenchy before launching his own label, returning to the same neighborhood as a principal rather than an apprentice carries a narrative weight that resonates with an industry that values provenance and perseverance.
Location matters intensely in Paris luxury retail. Place des Victoires sits at the intersection of the 1st and 2nd arrondissements, within walking distance of the Palais Royal, the Louvre, and the luxury boutiques of Rue Saint-Honoré. The address signals that Ami has earned its place among the city’s established fashion houses.
The boutique occupies a corner space with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the interior with natural light. The design language echoes Ami’s existing stores — warm oak shelving, cream limestone floors, brushed brass fixtures — but the proportions feel more generous, allowing the clothing to breathe in a way that smaller spaces cannot.
The collection within the store spans the full Ami range, from the signature oversized coats and relaxed suiting to the accessories that have driven much of the brand’s recent growth. The Ami de Cœur motif, the brand’s instantly recognizable logo, appears across sweaters, caps, and bags.
