Levi’s and JOURNAL STANDARD relume Reissue Archival Rigid Denim

Levi’s and Japanese label JOURNAL STANDARD relume have partnered on a special edition rigid denim collection, reviving the TYPE 1 and TYPE 2 Rigid Trucker Jackets alongside a 501 Selvedge Rigid Jean.

The TYPE 2 builds on the evolution of the original with symmetrical dual chest pockets and a balanced boxy silhouette, using lightweight fabric on the underside of the pocket flaps.

The TYPE 1 centers on classic construction: a single flapless front pocket, box stitching, a five-button closure and exclusive rainbow stitching, with a vintage-style T-back split on sizes 2XL and larger.

The 501 Selvedge Rigid Jeans draw from the archival 1947 model, with a 20-centimeter side stitch, red selvedge inside the coin pocket, V-stitch construction and single stitching along the waistband.

Pre-orders are open via Journal Standard online, with the official retail release beginning August 7.

All-yellow stitching throughout is designed to age naturally alongside the denim, so the garment’s history accumulates with each wear.
