Descente has unveiled its flagship Mizusawa Down Fall/Winter 2026 collection, a refined evolution of its iconic outerwear lineup. The seasonal delivery updates classic models with modernized shell fabrics, reworked functional details, and utility built for harsh winter conditions.
The collection is crafted at the brand’s newly rebuilt Mizusawa factory, a site whose history is woven into the product story. The rebuild lets Descente keep production close to its engineering core, a deliberate counter to the industry’s drift toward dispersed supply chains.
The Mizusawa Down program is Descente’s counterargument to trend cycles. By reinvesting in classic models year after year, the brand treats its own archive as a platform rather than a museum.
The range is led by the Anchor, Storm, and Mountaineer jackets, each updated with Heat Navi and Dermizax technologies. The shells manage warmth and breathability in a way that rewards the skier and the city commuter equally.
On the consumer side, the lineup translates cleanly. These are technical jackets that read as everyday outerwear, with a price tier that sits between performance specialist and fashion house.
Advance pre-orders begin August 21, with wider releases following on September 18 and October 23. The staggered timing lets Descente time each drop to the first cold fronts of the season.
