Prada and Gentle Monster have unveiled an eyewear collaboration built on a simple act of reorientation: the house’s triangle logo, positioned at an unexpected angle on sleek titanium frames. The three-design collection is a study in how a signature mark can be refreshed without being discarded.
The pairing makes strategic sense on both sides. Prada gains access to Gentle Monster’s devoted following among younger consumers in Asia, while Gentle Monster borrows the authority of one of fashion’s most recognizable houses.
The frames are crafted from titanium, a material that gives the collection a featherweight precision, with the Prada logo tilted sideways across the temple. It is a subtle subversion, the kind of detail that rewards a second look.
Gentle Monster’s campaigns are as much a part of its appeal as its product, and this collaboration continues the tradition. Prada ambassador Kentaro Sakaguchi stars in a narrative exploring the forces of earth, water, fire, air, and love, lending the launch an elemental mythology.
