Sézane Opens Its First Brick-and-Mortar Store in Los Angeles

Sézane has opened its first Los Angeles store, the French label’s entry into the West Coast market. The space marks the first step of a US expansion the brand has been building toward for several seasons.

The brand has signaled further US locations are under consideration, with the West Coast serving as a test of appetite beyond its coastal strongholds.

The Parisian maison grew through a direct-to-consumer model that resisted wholesale for years. Physical retail has followed only where the customer base justified it, and Los Angeles has been the loudest demand center outside New York.

Sézane’s e-commerce business has long outperformed its retail footprint, so the LA opening is less about new revenue than about deepening the relationship with existing customers in the region.

If the store performs, expect a staggered rollout rather than a sprint. Sézane has consistently chosen measured expansion over scale at any cost.

The store carries the house’s full range, from the knitwear and silk blouses it is known for to the accessories line that drives repeat purchases. The design language translates the Paris boutiques: warm woods, curved lines, and a domestic intimacy.
