Fashion Terms Starting with Letter F

Fashion terms beginning with the letter F are few and far between. That’s because fashion is dominated by French words, which of course start with “F.” There are a few English words that begin with “F” but they don’t have anything to do with fashion (except for one). Let’s explore them.

The first term we’ll look at is “fashionable.” This word has nothing to do with clothes or shoes; it means what people think is popular or fashionable right now. So if you’re not on top of current trends, others might consider you unfashionable.

Next up is the word “fastidious,” which means someone who pays close attention to detail or makes sure everything in their life runs smoothly. They’re usually very picky about what they eat, how their hair looks, and even something like where they sit in a movie theater.

A “fashionista” is someone who takes special care with the way he or she dresses (usually women). You can picture them taking extra time to match colors of outfits together, accessorizing with the latest trends, and refraining from wearing anything that could be considered too casual.
