Fashion Terms Starting with Letter M

Hello readers, today I’m going to be writing about fashion terms beginning with the letter M. In this blog post, you will find a list of some of my favorite words that start with M. They are many different types of clothing from muumuu’s to maxi dresses and everything in between.

  • Microsuede: Microsuede is a type of soft suede that is very thin with intricate little bumps. This type of fabric does not require much care, mainly just spot cleaning it when necessary.
  • Midi Dress: This type of dress generally falls right above the knee, with sleeves that are three-quarter length.
  • Maxi Dress: A maxi dress is a floor length dress. Usually, the skirt is gathered and flows freely to create a silhouette that can be very flattering.
  • Menswear: Menswears refers to the type of clothing that was created exclusively for men. There are more menswear stores than women’s stores these days, mainly because women’s clothing has adapted to the male culture.
  • Maternity Dresses: Maternity dresses are usually designed for pregnant women, who need a little more room in their clothing due to an ever-growing baby bump. This is where maternity wear comes in handy; it’s made with this purpose in mind.
